The 52nd edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant finale took place at the prestigious Yash Raj Films Studios in Mumbai on March 28, 2015, marking a significant event in the world of beauty and glamour. This grand event was broadcasted live on Colors TV and Zoom, captivating audiences across the nation. A total of twenty-one exceptional contestants graced the stage, each showcasing grace, charm, and intellect.

The crowning moment was nothing short of spectacular as Koyal Rana passed on her reign to the deserving Aditi Arya, who emerged victorious as her successor. The first and second runners-up titles were bestowed upon the remarkable Aafreen Vaz and Vartika Singh, respectively, adding to the prestige of the event.

Aditi Arya's journey continued as she represented India with poise and elegance at the esteemed Miss World 2015 pageant held in China, where she showcased the essence of Indian beauty on a global platform. Meanwhile, Aafreen Vaz embarked on her own remarkable journey, representing India at Miss Supranational 2015 in Poland. Her stellar performance earned her a coveted spot in the Top 10, and she was further honored with the title of Miss Supranational Asia and Oceania 2015, bringing pride to her nation.

Femina Miss India 2014 : Koyal Rana 

The 51st edition of the prestigious Femina Miss India beauty pageant took place on April 5, 2014, in Mumbai, India, marking another milestone in the realm of Indian beauty and grace. The journey to this grand event began earlier, with finalists being meticulously chosen in a prelude round held in Bangalore in January 2014. This year, 24 remarkable women vied for the coveted title of Miss India World, each bringing their own unique charm and charisma to the stage.

In a momentous coronation, Koyal Rana, hailing from Delhi, was crowned Femina Miss India 2014, following in the illustrious footsteps of her predecessor, Navneet Kaur Dhillon. Alongside her, Jhataleka Malhotra and Gail Nicole Da Silva were bestowed with the honors of 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively, adding to the splendor of the occasion.

Koyal Rana went on to represent India at the prestigious Miss World 2014 competition held in the United Kingdom, where her grace and poise garnered her the esteemed title of Miss World Asia, securing a spot in the top 11 finalists. Meanwhile, Jhataleka Malhotra embarked on a journey to Japan to represent India at Miss International, where she not only showcased her beauty but also clinched the Miss Internet Beauty award, adding another feather to her cap.

Gail Nicole Da Silva graced the stage as India's representative at Miss United Continent 2014 held in Ecuador, where her elegance and charm captured hearts, earning her the title of 1st Runner Up. Not stopping there, she also clinched the coveted titles of Miss Photogenic and Best National Costume, further solidifying her position as a true ambassador of beauty and grace.

Following the Femina Miss India 2014 pageant, Ruhi Singh, although not a contestant in this edition, was appointed by Femina as India's representative at Miss Universal Peace and Humanity 2014 held in Lebanon. In a historic moment, she emerged victorious, being crowned the inaugural winner of the pageant, thus adding another illustrious chapter to India's rich legacy in the world of beauty pageants.

The 50th edition of Femina Miss India took center stage at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai, on March 24, 2013, captivating audiences with its glitz and glamour. Broadcasted live on Colors TV channel, the prestigious beauty pageant saw 23 contestants vying for the coveted title.

In a momentous crowning ceremony, Navneet Kaur Dhillon of Punjab emerged victorious, clinching the title of Femina Miss India World 2013 from the reigning queen, Vanya Mishra. Adding to the excitement, Sobhita Dhulipala and Zoya Afroz were honored as the 1st and 2nd Runners Up respectively, further enhancing the pageant's allure.

Navneet Kaur Dhillon's journey continued on the global stage as she represented India at Miss World 2013 in Indonesia, showcasing her grace and charm to secure a position in the Top 20 and claim the Multimedia Award. Meanwhile, Sobhita Dhulipala showcased India's beauty and poise at Miss Earth 2013 in the Philippines, earning accolades with the titles of Miss Photogenic and Miss Eco-beauty.

Following their remarkable performances, Femina Miss India 2013 contestants Vijaya Sharma and Swati Kain were honored with prestigious assignments by Femina. Vijaya Sharma represented India with grace at Miss Supranational 2013 in Belarus, earning a spot in the Top 20. On the other hand, Swati Kain dazzled at Miss Heritage 2013 in Zimbabwe, securing the 1st Runner Up position, adding another feather to India's cap.

In a unique twist, Purva Rana, despite not participating in Femina Miss India 2013 but having competed in the 2012 edition, was appointed as India's representative at Miss United Continent 2013 held in Ecuador. Displaying elegance and poise, she was crowned Vice-Queen/Virrena, exemplifying India's excellence on the global stage.

It is the time of the year when beauty contests become front page news. 

Since the times Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, and Dia Mirza have climbed the pedestal of international beauty contests, ordinary Indians started taking interest in such events. However, in the past few years, India has failed to produce a beauty queen who excelled on the international stage.

Formal contests apart, Indian women continue to mesmerize people all over the world.

And it looks like they may once again gain prominence on the international contest stage - courtesy the Miss India winners 2012.

Just yesterday, in the Miss India contest held in Mumbai, India, Vanya Mishra was crowned Miss India World 2012. Prachi Mishra was crowned Miss India Earth 2012 and Rochelle Maria Rao was crowned Miss India International 2012.

In a competition that had spanned more than 4 months, Vanya Mishra was chosen as the winner among 20 other contestants. Vanya was a wild card entry into the Miss India Finals since she won Dabur Gulabari Miss Rose Glow 2011. She proves that wild cards can be winners too.

Vanya is 19 years old, comes from Chandigarh and is a Technology student. This is bound to create some interest among Engineering students, both in terms of aspirations and dreams :-)

In the final round, she was asked a question - "If you have an option, will you create thousand jobs or feed thousand children daily?". Vanya replied, "Little children are innocent and anybody's heart will melt. I will also try to give them education so that they can feed themselves and their family too."

This intelligent answer set the dice rolling in favor of Vanya and within moments, she went from Vanya Who to Vanya Mishra - The Miss India 2012.

The name Vanya is of Russian and Hebrew origin, and means gracious gift of God.

And yes, Vanya Mishra has a striking resemblance to super star actress Chitrangada Singh. This picture says it all and we all hope that she is as successful as Chitrangada.

Prachi Mishra, all of 24, from Allahabad, UP, was crowned Miss India Earth 2012. 

She was the runner up in this marathon competition. She is an investment advisor and is inspired by Aishwarya Rai.

All in all, these ladies have been catapulted to instant stardom. We all hope that these gals enjoy tremendous success.

P.S. If there is one contestant who caught my eye among the ladies who also ran, it is the lady below - Erica Fernandez. Lets hope that she is also equally successful as the other gals.
